Over the last two years, she’s gotten into playing mahjong and had the idea to start hosting monthly Healdsburg Mahjong Events at local wineries. Earlier this year, Healdsburg Luxury Living and yours truly, The JetSetting Fashionista, curated an event at Amista Vineyards in Dry Creek Valley. The event was Bubbles & Tiles: A Sparkling Mahjong Afternoon, to a packed house. The April event sold out quickly and set a high bar for what a winery mahjong experience can feel like: estate-grown Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling poured on arrival, table popcorn, and an optional Dry Creek General Store lunch box to fuel three hours of play. If Amista runs a second edition, it will be worth watching their events calendar closely.
